The butterfly is such a lovely creature that is beautiful to the eye.
Isn't that how we sometimes view others? On how beautiful they look on the outward? We all know that butterflies don't start out that way. They start out as a caterpillar. They aren't as beautiful as the butterfly seems to be to our natural eye.
I had the opportunity to watch caterpillars go through the necessary stages to becoming beautiful butterflies. Trust me, the process wasn't pretty. The cocoon stage was probably the most ugliest part of the process in becoming a butterfly.
Isn't that how we are with people, seeing the beautiful parts but missing out on all the "ugly parts" they had to go through? The caterpillar didn't become a butterfly overnight... it took time. Just like with people it takes time to have a "beautiful appearance on the outside."
Why don't we take the time set apart for ourselves that God can use to renew us on the inside; so on the outside we look just as beautiful.
It's always harder for us to work on our self. I know.... However, God has made you beautiful already! In Psalm 139:13-14, it says, "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it."
God knows you are beautiful. It's time for you to know that you are too! :) Don't let your body "imperfections" or anyone make you feel anything less than beautiful!
Always remember...."You never have a bad day; just experiences that you can learn from."
All the Best!
